Privacy Policy

MacTC is offered by R&D Solutions LLC under the Macintog brand. R&D Solutions LLC handles the limited website, support, purchase, and license operations described here. Purchases are initiated in MacTC and completed through Paddle’s secure checkout in your browser.

Information processed on your Mac

MacTC processes thermal, performance, and fan information on your Mac. In System mode, MacTC evaluates fan behavior while macOS controls the fans. MacTC does not send this operational telemetry to us unless you choose Capture & Submit.

Trials, purchases, and licenses

To provide trials, purchases, restores, installation management, compatibility, and paid access, we process limited purchase, device, and software information. This includes an opaque installation identifier, general Mac model, operating system and app version, activation information, purchase email, transaction identifiers, and purchase, refund, or payment-reversal status. We use that status to grant or end paid access.

During an active trial, MacTC may occasionally contact the license service to determine whether the trial period has been extended. License operations do not send serial numbers, hardware UUIDs, hostnames, usernames, Apple Account information, storage details, or user-provided device labels.

Paddle is the merchant of record and processes payment-card details under its own privacy obligations and policy. MacTC does not receive payment-card details.

Support captures

Capture & Submit is optional and user-initiated. When you choose it, MacTC records and uploads a sanitized diagnostic capture to MacTC support and keeps a copy on your Mac. The submitted capture is designed not to include personal files, app contents, information about other running apps, usernames, hardware serial numbers, or license information.

Submitted captures may be used to provide support, diagnose issues, improve MacTC, prevent abuse, and operate the support service. Uploaded captures and related server-side processing records are stored privately, are not sold or public, and are retained for no longer than 21 days. Incomplete or rejected uploads and some processing records are deleted sooner.

Website and service providers

The website stores a color-theme preference in your browser and does not include advertising or analytics trackers. Hosting, payment, email, update, and support providers may process basic connection and service information needed to deliver the website, licensing, purchase, recovery, update, and support functions.

Retention and sharing

We retain purchase and license records as needed to provide your license and meet legal, financial, and support obligations. We do not sell personal data. We share data only with providers needed to deliver these services or when required by law.
